First Quarter 2013 Volume 26 Issue 2
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Latest News: I have been buried trying to deal with hacked websites over the last two months. Coupled with demands of the Greyhound job I have not had any time to do much. Additionally Maureen has had major health issues. I am moving all the websites off the current providers due to major security issues the hosting service does not even acknowledge exist. In the meantime, Islamic hackers and Nigerian phishers are causing major problems. Please continue to keep us  and this ministry in prayer!

Church Website Ministry:

  • I was contacted by a member of Liberty Independent Baptist Church in DeLand Florida. We set up a basic website for the church years ago (second level domain). I registered http://lbcdeland.com for the church and installed WordPress.
  • I was contacted by Pastor Larry Pittman of Northview Baptist Church. We rescued their domain (http://www.northviewbaptist.net) back in 2009. He wanted to update the website and start putting sermons up, particularly for their shutins. I upgraded their website from the first templates we were using to WordPress.
  • We rescued a domain (http://www.angelicabaptist.com) back in 2010 for First Baptist Church in Angelica New York. I received a call from Pastor Ford today. He wants to pursue getting a permanent website up. I told him some of the options we offer, and directed him to our website Online Churches (a primer for getting your ministry online) for more options. I made some updates to the current unofficial website and expect to hear back from Pastor Ford in a few weeks.
  • I received an email from Pastor Nabata of Bible Believers Baptist Church in the Philippines. We created a website for their ministry several years ago (http://bbbckjv.com), and he wanted to take the site over and make updates. They have an anniversary coming up. I updated their website to WordPress.

Bible Correspondence Courses:  We want to thank Katherine Feguer, John & Lydia Henrici and JL and Florence Smith for helping on the Bible Correspondence courses over the last quarter.

  • First Quarter Stats: We mailed out 964 lessons and 21 certificates to 229 active students (47 international (in 13 countries) and 16 incarcerated). We have active students in the USA, Australia, Brunei, Cameroon, Ethiopia,Ghana,India, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africaand the United Kingdom.
  • Here are some comments we received from people that are taking the correspondence courses:
    • Written by a prisoner about what he learned… From the Gospel of John I learned how to love Jesus. If I had that much love for Jesus I may never have ended up in here. My love for Jesus has grown much more than I thought it would thanks to the gospel of John.
    • I do thank you for this lesson. I have learned a lot about how God disciplines us & teaches us also.

Tract Ministry:We have “given out” over 60,000 Bible Tracts online.

Support: We are currently at 67% of support for our ministry expenses. 100% of money donated to us goes to support the ministry – we use NO money for personal expenses.

Prayer Needs: The Lord’s will regarding secular work and health benefits. Help in raising support for the ministry. Please keep us in prayer for our personal financial needs in addition to the ministry’s financial needs. Pray that Bob can spend time migrating and restoring hacked websites.

Specific Financial Needs:  Our server needs have been met for the year! Praise God!
