Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Latest News: My job at Greyhound is still nonstop.  The Lord is using this position as an outreach and to minister to drivers/management and passengers. I am still convinced that I am where the Lord wants me to be. Let me share the following story with you: I was called in to take a not so good assignment, to run an empty bus from Dallas to Tyler Texas. My attitude was not the best. When I got there, there were only a few people there. A lady came over and asked if I was going to Dallas. When I told her yes, she said “Thank you Jesus for sending you here.” I was instantly under conviction. Everything we do, whether we realize it or not can be an answer to someone’s prayers, and bring glory and honor to God. This only works if we are where God wants us to be doing what God has called us to do.

Bible Correspondence Courses:   We have active students from the USA, Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

We want to thank Katherine Feguer, John & Lydia Henrici, JL and Florence Smith for helping on the Bible Correspondence courses over the last several months.

  • When we send Bible Correspondence Courses overseas we send them in bulk when we can to a person that will distribute them to save money on postage. We were told we should send a bundle of lessons in one package to a person in an African country to save money on postage. We received information: Please note that the courses you send was too large a packet and has been confiscated by the Islamic religious center here. It is still best to send lessons to individual. I will send a separate request for the lessons after I have updated the addresses. Last newsletter I indicated that Islamic hackers were attacking our hosted websites. Satan is alive and well, and I think we are seeing Bible prophecy coming to life in front of our eyes.
  • I want to share some comments we receive from people that are taking the correspondence courses:
  • “I want to know more about our Lord Jesus Christ. If possible, please, help me or show me how I will learn the Bible.”  Age 54, Ethiopia.
  • “Thank you again for your Bible study booklets. You don’t know how much I look forward to receiving them!”  Age 60 Texas
  • ”I am glad you have send the courses as said, i wait with passion for them.”  Cameroon
  • “Hi. God be praised because I received all the lessons you sent me safe. The Holy Spirit helped me to study them and answer the tests as provided.” Pastor from Mozambique

Church Website Ministry:

  • We had an issue with the server hosting all our ministry websites (including this one). We ran out of memory, causing the server to crash. I have a new larger server installed, the migration went good. I have a couple of minor odds and ends I still need to find time to clean up.
  • Recovered website (http://www.ibbcparisil.com) of Independent Bible Baptist Church in Paris Illinois. A church member had been maintaining their website and relocated. Worked with member Andy Pullen and reinstalled the templates so it could be maintained by Andy once again.
  • I was contacted by a member to take over an unofficial website for Maranatha Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC. They chose a new domain name (http://www.mbcjacksonville.org) and are set up on templates. The site is now live and taking traffic.

Tract Ministry: We are “giving out” 900 Bible Tracts per month, We have “given out” over 47,000 Bible Tracts online.

Social Networking: Please continue praying for our Facebook outreach. My evangelism account has dropped to 1600+ friends.

Support: We are currently at 67% of support for our ministry expenses. 100% of money donated to us goes to support the ministry – we use NO money for personal expenses.

Prayer Needs: The Lord’s will regarding secular work and health benefits. Help in raising support for the ministry. We have notified by our provider of Bible Correspondence Courses (Source of Light) that they (as is the case with most ministries) are suffering financially, and have terminated our 60% ministry discount an the purchase of Bible lessons. Please pray for the Lord’s will for their ministry and for our ministry. A 60% increase in the cost of the lessons will add significant cost to our ministry expenses.

Specific Financial Needs:  We still have several needs

  • Projector for the ministry presentation $500-$700
  • Vonage phone service for a year – we can get two months of phone service free if we purchase a year at a cost of $270 (includes taxes and fees). If you are going to sign up for Vonage – give us your email address – if we “invite” you  we can get a free month. Vonage allows us to call FREE to 60 countries and discounted to others – invaluable for our ministry!
  • All of our server needs for the year have been paid for. Praise the Lord!

Thanks to Harvester Baptist Church in Ellicott City Maryland, Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland Texas, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roanoke Virginia and Marion Baptist Church in Marion Texas, Johnny (the Baptist) Campbell, Jim and Carol Cahill, Dr. Nancy Shields of Tool Kit Ministries, and Calvary Baptist Church (Bellville, IL) for ongoing regular support. Additionally we received individual donations from Jane Quarles. Special thanks go out Whitley Memorial Baptist Church in Nashville Tennessee for helping us with the cost of two servers for 2011! They are truly a small church with a big heart! Finally our home church (Harvester Baptist Church in Ellicott City Maryland) paid for our last server expense for the year. HBC has been supporting our ministry financially and in prayer for over 20 years now.

We thank you and pray the Lord will bless you in Jesus,

http://www.baptist-ministries.org – Independent Baptist Web PortalYou have been added to a mail check email list. This ensures that your email address is still valid.
You will receive our Missionaries to Cyberspace Newsletter every two months or so. If your email becomes invalid (and is removed from the mailing list, or you choose to manually remove your email address), your Baptistmail email address will be deactivated.

This has become necessary because many of the addresses we are forwarding to have become invalid.

In Jesus,
