Third Quarter 2012 Volume 25 Issue 3
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Latest News: Since work is still going at full bore, I am going to start putting out this newsletter on a quarterly basis. Please continue to pray for us and the job situation.

Church Website Ministry:

  1. Emmanuel Baptist Church’s website was subject to an attack due to a vulnerability in one of their add ons called Zen Photo. Since I had to rebuild their site from scratch to remove all the tainted code, I moved them to a new, more secure server. Spent the last day working on their new web presence. Everything is back up now, their website is at?http://www.emmanuelbc.net.
  2. I was contacted by Pastor Stanley Rogers. We had worked before on creating a web page for his church several years ago. Pastor Rogers left his church to become a full time evangelist. He was recently contacted by Woodbridge Baptist Church in Smithfield Pennsylvania. Their pastor finished preaching a morning service and announced he was quiting and just left. Pastor Rogers reorganized the church as an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church and has taken over as Pastor. He wanted to set up a website for the church. I registered a domain for him at http://www.woodbridgebc.org. He wanted to use the Website Baker templates since he was familiar with it. I have registered the domain, and installed the Website Baker templates for him.
  3. Beware of Domain Registry of America. This company scans domain records (whois information) and sends a renewal notice via the US Mail about a month before the domain expires. The company tells you you need to renew your domain registration and charges three to four times our cost for the registration. If you send them the money they then attempt to transfer the domain from your current registrant, which will very likely take down your website when the dns entry is moved. If you look at the small print of these letters, somewhere on the letter it will tell you it is an advertisement. Contact your current provider BEFORE you send them money. A church we are hosting paid for the domain renewal through this company, I found out when I started receiving emails stating the domain was locked and they couldn’t transfer the domain.
  4. WordPress will be new hosting templates / Bible Baptist Church in McKinney / I have some ongoing problems creating and maintaining the website backer templates. I will start setting up websites on the WordPress templates going forward. I started with Bible Baptist Church in McKinney. Their old website hosting service expired, so I created a new temporary website (at http://www.bbcmckinney.com).

Bible Correspondence Courses: We want to thank Katherine Feguer, John & Lydia Henrici, JL and Florence Smith and Carol and Jim Cahill for helping on the Bible Correspondence courses over the last several months.

We had three salvation decisions (a 23 y/o man in the Philippines, 43 y/o woman in Tennessee and a 7 y/o child in Myanmar). We had students in the USA, Brazil, Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Ghana, India, Liberia, Malawi, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, United Kingdom and Zambia.
  • Here are some comments we received from people that are taking the correspondence courses:
From another man in Malawi…. The Hoffman family, I have no word to say about how powerful these lessons are. They are Apure way to heaven. They are setting me free from the bondages .The write of these Lesson received a great vision from Heaven. The Men and women are highly inspired by the Holy Ghost. I am still working on the Lessons and I hope to put them on the post office before Friday. God richly bless you for making these wonderful lessons free.
  • We received notice that a Bible Tract was returned from the Philippines, indicating a person was saved from a tract we sent out. God is so good!
  • Letter from 23 year old from the Philippines…. Dear Bob and Maureen Hoffman, Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! It is a great privileged for me to become one of your student in your Bible correspondence courses. Thank you for sending me the Light from the Gospel of John, My New Life in Christ books 1 & 2 composed of lessons 1-4. I have found salvation in Christ through reading the booklets which you have sent to me. I hope that you will not be tired on sending the next lessons or courses for me. If it is possible, can I receive MNL Books 3 through 10? Because it is so expensive to send a mail outside our country. I belong in a poor family in our place. I hope you understand my situation. Lastly, Bro. Bob and Maureen, I would like to request from you a free copy of a Bible according to your generosity. I hope you will grant my heartily request of a Bible. Thank you very much and may God richly bless your ministry throughout the world.. As I read the Light from the Gospel of John I am blest by the truth. I have learned from the Word of God. I experienced the presence of God as I admitted that I am a sinful man before Him and believed that He died for me on the cross. I asked Jesus to forgive all the sins that I have done, the tears were in my eyes as I confessed my sins to God. I feel that God was taking the heavy burdens in my heart as I received Him as my personal Lord and Saviour of my life.
  • From an inmate in IL: Thank you for every course and lessons you had send me and may God bless every soul of that ministry. In the course I had learned a lot. It keeps me with my mind focus on positive things from the Bible and I really appreciate that. Inmates like me need somebody like you that send us Bible lessons for our spiritual areas. They are blessings to us and you know we appreciate it. God bless you richly.
