The Latest News

My job at Greyhound is still nonstop.  The summer has left me with little extra time.

Bible Correspondence Courses:   We have active students from the USA, Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

We want to thank Katherine Feguer, John & Lydia Henrici, JL and Florence Smith for helping on the Bible Correspondence courses over the last several months.

  • The second quarter of 2011 ended with 243 students (76 foreign students and 31 are incarcerated).  We sent out 1294 lessons, issued 31 certificates and saw 2 USA students make salvation decisions.
  • I want to share some comments we receive from people that are taking the correspondence courses:
  • Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings from the hot land of Pakistan, I would like to tell you that I visited your website this morning and found many things about Christianity. I am very interested in learning about Christianity. I am Muslim by religion. Would you please send me these Bible Study Correspondence Courses so that I can study them and learn more things?

Church Website Ministry:

  • I received an email from a person I had helped out in the past. He changed churches due to a move and wanted to put up a web page for the small church (New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Live Oak Texas) he was now attending. We discussed domains and I registered the domain http://www.nlmbc.us for him. I set the domain up on templates and will be sending him the template information for him to start building their website.
  • I was contact by Pastor Victor Alvarez of Iglesia Bautista Fundamental in Brownsville Texas this week. We rescued their expired domain, http://www.iglesiabautistafundamental.org a while back, and put up an Unofficial (rescued) website for them. He thanked me for the rescue,. He explained that a church member had put up the website, was committed to maintaining it and for some reason could not maintain the commitment. Pastor Alvarez said that even with the basic rescued website that they were still seeing response in the form of people inquiring and show/or showing up for church services.
  • I received an email from a pastor’s wife asking if we could help a new church in Roxboro North Carolina get online. I spoke with the Pastor, we talked about what he wanted to do, and decided to set up their church on the Templates. I registered a domain for them (http://www.alleluiabc.com) and gave the Pastor (Jack Hilliard) a tutorial on how to work the the templates.
