The laptop I have has Vista Home Premium installed. About a month or two ago I had to do a complete reinstall of Windows. I was using Windows Mail (the Vista Version of Outlook Express). After inporting the Outlook Express message base, Windows Mail was forwever creating “recovered folders.” There was apparently no fix, everyone was saying to go to “Windows Live Mail.” I made one attempt to do the conversion, but it did not function as I needed it to in order to publish to the newsgroups. I tried to fall back, and my attempt to clean up resulted in losing most of the message store I had. I am back on Windows Live Mail now, and it is so slow, it renders the mail unusable for large periods of time. I guess I need to be trying third party mail solutions. This is annoying and is a major time consumer! Rescued another domain.
