Church Website Ministry:

  • I was contacted by Pastor Brett Skillen, the new Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Joplin Missouri. I had “rescued” their domain (bethelkjv.com) a while ago, and he wanted to get a basic website going. The goal was to have his son take over and update the website when he finished with classes. I set up a basic WordPress website with the information and a few of the pictures Pastor Skillen provided to me. We set up a secure login for his son so that when time became available for him, he could update the website.
  • Pastor Mike O’Neal of Glenwood Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida contacted me. Pastor O’Neal has a website called The Bible-Believing Fundamentalist that was on another hosting service that was going commercial, and had stopped functioning. Brother Mike wanted to know if I could help him host and restore the website. I was able to find archived copies of the website on the internet. Using these copies of his website, I converted his old content to a WordPress website. It took a while but we were able to recover all of the content including great sermon outlines. Check out Pastor O’Neal’s great website!
  • Brother Mike was having to update his websites using old software on very old computers using very old versions of Windows operating systems. The old computers kept failing and he has had to keep trying to find old computers that would run his old software. After we got brothermike.com rebuilt, Pastor O’Neal wanted to know if I could rebuild their church website for Glenwood Baptist Church (glenwoodbc.org) on WordPress. I was able to get most of the content over to WordPress, and Brother Mike was able to update his outdated content. He now has both websites up on WordPress and has the ability to update them using his current computers.
  • I was contacted by a member of West Main Baptist Church in Henderson Texas. I had an “unofficial” website up for them. The church was looking for a new pastor and wanted to set up a permanent website that they could update. We registered the domain westmainbc.com and I set up a basic WordPress website for them. I was able to provide some training for the church so they could update the website on their own.
