Sunday Morning Blessing

Gatewood Baptist ChurchThis morning for the morning service Maureen and I visited Gatewood Baptist Church, 4919 Gatewood Road, Garland, TXPastor Paul Price and the entire church were friendly, in fact I have to say we have not attended a more friendly church. The church runs about thirty. The preaching was great, and Pastor Price was very interesting in his presentation. We had the opportunity to speak to Pastor Price before the service, and shared our ministry with him. At the end of the message he asked me to spend a few minutes to tell the congregation about the ministry.     The church has an interesting schedule, the Sunday morning service is followed by a fellowship lunch, and then a “turnaround” afternoon service at 1:30 PM. We had the opportunity to eat with Pastor and Mrs Price after the morning service. They want to set up a web presence for their church, and I will be getting back together with Pastor Price early this coming week to discuss options, it sounds like they may want to start using the templates.    The church gave us a very generous love offering after the service, I praise God for his provisions and for for giving churches! The link above will probably change as we register a new domain for Gatewood Baptist Church.Last week as I was updating the Baptist Ministries database I found three links to churches that had gone to advertising links.  I was a bit disturbed by the fact that found church websites at new domains. The software we use checks links, and identifies links that are moved or missing. I go through and check the entire database over a 1-2 month period on a rotating basis. If you have read any of my old posts here you know that I am convicted that God will hold us accountable for our lack of vigilance in protecting the web presence of His churches. As the ministry goes forward, I hope to interview Pastors and Staff about how these things like happen.
