Hijacked! – Part 2

I spent two more hours this morning finishing the clean up of the computer belonging to the church member (details in the article ahead of this one).It took every (free) malware program I could find to clean the computer. The last scan still found a root-kit along with 8 other issues!I can't emphasize again how much you need to keep your computer protected with anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall. I have provided links to free anti-virus and anti-spyware software. I do not know of a free firewall. Windows comes with a bare firewall (better than nothing for sure). The main issue with the windows firewall is that it keeps attacks from coming into your system, but if your system ends up with a malware program, it will not stop software on your computer from sending your private information to an outside source!
