General Update 2-24-2010

We had a good time at the Lavon Drive Baptist Church Missions Conference. We gave out several hundred prayer cards. Also:

  • Met missionaries to Ghana – worked on setting them up on a Forum Board to handle personal mail between each other in the ministry, and forum boards with various security levels for discipleship and fellowship.
  • Met missionaries to Cambodia – they do not have, but want a website – they will be back in our area in June and will be in contact to set something up.
  • Had a wonderful time of fellowship with veteran missionary Bob Smith. We met his nephew, Darryl Smith (Williams Road Baptist Church in San Benito Texas) at the missions conference in Jacksonville Texas last month. Bob and Betty Sue have been on the Mexico Mission Field for 50 years! He said he was looking for ways to get the ministry out on the Internet, loved what we are doing and would contact me to see what we could do.
  • Met another missionary to Cambodia, he asked me to look up and witness to his sister on Facebook.

Johnny the Baptist got his login information for his website. The website is built using Front Page, so we are looking to update as needed per his direction.

Received a bulletin from Calvary Baptist Church in Sterling Kansas to update their website. We rescued their domain (http://www.calvarybaptistofsterling.com). I set them up on the templates and created a custom header with their church picture on it for them last week.
