Saga of an out of control search engine
I received an email from webmaster whose site we link to on our website familynet-international.org. This website is a family oriented search engine, which has evolved (pardon that reference) to heavily supporting resources for home schooling. My response follows Sarah email and her request to unlink from her website. I refuse to let Google dictate the content on ANY of the wbesites I run… but this is something you should beware of if you have a website (secular or ministry).

We wish to thank you for linking to our website ChristiaNet.com from www.familynet-international.org . Unfortunately, Google has penalized our website for having "unnatural links." In an effort to get this penalty removed, I need your help. There are links to our site on your pages. If you could remove the links, I would greatly appreciate it. The pages are listed below my signature.
Google is reluctant to revoke a penalty, until they have seen a meaningful number of links removed. They would prefer to see a webmaster remove a link rather than see me disavow your website in Google Webmaster Tools. That's why your assistance is so important to me.
Thanks in advance for your consideration. If you could confirm the link removals, that would be terrific.
Kindest Regards,
Sarah
