Rescue Update

Entertaining pornographer's unaware?
I ended up rescuing another domain yesterday. I really don't want to post specifics here, as it is not my intention to embarrass any church or individuals.

I received a phone call this morning from a brother in Tennessee. He was the webmaster for his church, and due to family health problems, he let the domain go unattended. On November 26, I rescued the domain and rebuilt the church. In discussions with this brother, I asked him to consider that there may be other churches and ministries that link to his church's website. I asked him how he would feel if his church's website were taken over by an adult content provider (porn or advertising), and someone (a child?) on the other church's website linked to him clicked on his church's link and ended up with explicit adult material staring him in the face. The brother commented that he really had not thought about it. He said it was actually the farthest thing from his mind! He commended us on what we were doing. I am currently working with this brother and their church to turn the domain back over to them and re-establish their official web presence.

1 Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Part of our ministry is to go out to churches and educate the church staff, and congregation on the potential pitfalls of establishing their official church website, and the potential problems of allowing a lay person to manage the site with no oversight from the pastoral staff.

We are on deputation right now, with only 5% of support in place. We are accepting speaking engagements. Contact me via email or via phone (214)-257-0229 if you have questions about the ministry, would like a CD, or want to schedule us for your church.
