Plano TexasYesterday (11/30/08) I felt lead of the Lord to visit Good Faith Community Church in Plano Texas. We had an unofficial web page created for them back in January of 2006! I had been contacted by Pastor Walters back then to update the information on the church page. We had not communicated in several years. The church is a small African American church located in Plano Texas. Maureen and I arrived at the church for morning service. We were greeted with open arms and made to feel right at home. I asked to speak to Pastor Walters. After we talked for a while he told me the Lord had definitely lead me to their church, as he had just been talking to one of the church members about putting up a new website! The service was fantastic, much different to anything Maureen and I are used to. We felt so at home in the church, and with the people it was amazing. Pastor Walter's message “Practicing Meaningful Wroship” included focusing on the ministry you are called to, and to not letting yourself get sidetracked. It was a confirmation to me of the Lord speaking to me through the outage on Thanksgiving Day, and cleaning up the extraneous things that would keep me sidetracked!Maureen and I left uplifted, after good preaching and music. Again, the church was so friendly I can't put it into words. We felt the presence of the Lord in the church, and I left feeling that Maureen and I were indeed in teh Lord's will in the ministry God has called us to.The church member will be contacting me this week to talk about creating a new website for the church (and possibly seeing if I can help with a business website).Again your prayers are appreciated! In Jesus,Bob
