I rescued another domain that expired yesterday, a viable church, loads of links to the website all over the place. I have not emphasized in a while the necessity of checking any sites that you have links to on a regular basis. This rescued domain could have ended up hosting a porno page, and all those linked to it could have been responsible for feeding traffic to the released domain. When a domain is dropped it does NOT automatically vanish from search engines! Imagine someone looking for your church on the web, and then finding a porno website when they click on your domain! Once a domain is released back to the public, anyone can grab it for ANY reason and put any content they want on it. If the site has a lot of links to it, the site is worth money! Protect your domains and protect your links!
