Global Impact Celebration (GIC) In Home Connection
Last night Lavon Drive Baptist Church had their "In Home Connection" )day 2 of the GIC Missions Conference. Our class had the pleasure of meeting with Steve and Vanessa Morror (and little luke their son). The Morror family is on depution, through BIMI as missionaries going to South Africa. They have a website at hope4southafrica.com.
The Borrors are staying with us during this year's Global Impact Celebration. They are a blessing, although their young son Luke has our cat "Goose" hiding in the bedroom. Goose has never seen a toddler before and is intimidated.
The class provided finger food and deserts, whcih made for a wonderful time of fellowship.
After a short time of snacking and fellowship, Missionary Steven Borror gave his (and Vanessa's) testimony of salvation and their calling to South Africa. We then had the pleasure of seeing Brother Steve's presentation, which was followed by a question and answer period.
The Borrors are just starting out on deptutation, but already have 85 meetings set up for this year (they still have about 14 openings left). Steve says he hopes they will be able to make it to the mission field by October of 2017.
Please pray for this young family as the work to fulfill the Great Commission!
