- I received an email from Leland Frye, church secretary of Swan Creek Baptist Church in Jonesville North Carolina. We had "rescued" their domain back in June (http://www.swancreekbaptistchurch.com). After a brief talk with Leland, I offered to set them up on the templates, and after an hour of training Leland has taken over maintenance of the church's "reborn" website!
- I received an email from Pastor Mikal Smith of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Joplin Missouri asking us to update his "unofficial web page." Their web page is at: http://joplin.sgbc.info. I updated the website with his contact information.
- I received an email from the web developer working on a new website for Heritage Baptist Church in Lebanon Missouri requesting I put a link in from their "unofficial web site" to their new website at http://www.hbclebanon.com. I did that this morning.
- The "Unofficial Websites" are often top links on Google (and other) search. If a church has an unofficial website (to link the Baptist Ministries database to http://www.baptist-ministries.org) the unofficial site is a vehicle to generate instant traffic to a new ministry website (assuming that the ministry contacts us to add a link to their new website). The link we add to the new website also serves to upgrade the search engine rankings of the new website.
