Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to lunch with a gentleman I used to work with at Greyhound. We had talked about the Lord in the past and I had left him with a Bible tract (The New Birth by Paul Levin). Soul winning should be a part of our daily walk in our secular jobs (although I have to confess I could have done a much better job).
He had indicated he had trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour after going home that night with the Bible tract. I did not have much interaction with him after that encounter, mainly due to the nature of the job (driving all over the place). I left my secular job at Greyhound right before Thanksgiving.
I took the opportunity right before Christmas to wish all my former Greyhound coworkers a Blessed Christmas (including this gentleman) via text message. He asked what I was up to. I told him I had gone back into full time ministry.
When he contacted me two weeks ago to discuss “some issues” in his life, since I told him I had gone back into “the ministry,” I assumed he wanted to discuss them from a Biblical perspective. I told him I would be happy to take him out to lunch and sit down with a Bible and discuss his issues with him.
We finally hooked up yesterday, and after we started talking it became immediately evident that he had never trusted Christ as his Saviour. I listened to what was going on in his life, and turned the conversation to the Lord and soul winning. He acknowledged he was a sinner, had a need for a Saviour and that he had never trusted the Lord as his personal Saviour. Before he left to go home, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour! Praise the Lord!

I told him we offered free Bible correspondence courses and he said he wanted to sign up and start taking them.
