I received a call today from a webmaster regarding a domain for a church in Tennessee that had been rescued. The gentleman told me when he had left the church he gave documentation and logon information to a gentleman that would take over the maintenance and upkeep of the church’s website. Apparently the new person did not do anything, and allowed the domain to expire and be released back to the public.I repointed the nameservers so their old website is back up again, and we will be transferring the domain back to the church/webmaster.If you have a church web presence, it is a church asset. People are linked to your website. You should protect it like any other asset and I am convinced you will be accountable to God for what you do (or don’t do) with what he has provided!
