Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
The Latest News: My job at Greyhound has gone nonstop through the present time. Things have not slowed down in March and April. I am able to do the daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, but not able to expand and do the discretionary things I would like to in the ministry. I need to seriously prayerfully consider whether I should be staying in this position. The Lord has, however, been using this position as an outreach and to minister to drivers/management and passengers. I am convinced at this time, that I am where the Lord wants me to be.
Bible Correspondence Courses: The first quarter saw 4 salvation decisions including persons in the US and Myanmar! We had active students from the USA, Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Cayman Islands, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, Tanzania, and the United Kingdom. We sent out 1122 lessons, had 254 active students (including 87 foreign and 29 that are incarcerated). We issued 23 certificates. We want to thank Katherine Feguer, John & Lydia Henrici, Ruth Harvey, Sandy Vaughan, JL and Florence Smith for helping on the Bible Correspondence courses over the last several months.
Church Website Ministry:
* Our ministry has been under heavy attack by some Islamic hackers from Saudi Arabia. I spent a full day restoring some hacked websites and checking and adding security on all our websites. Please pray for wisdom to stay ahead of the hackers, and protection for the ministry resources.
Tract Ministry: We are “giving out” 900 Bible Tracts per month, We have “given out” over 46,000 Bible Tracts online
Social Networking: Please continue praying for our Facebook outreach. My evangelism account is at 1700+ friends.
Support: We are currently at 67% of support for our ministry expenses. 100% of money donated to us goes to support the ministry – no money goes to us at this time.
Prayer Needs: The Lord’s will regarding secular work and health benefits. Help in raising support for the ministry.
Specific Financial Needs: We still have several needs
o Projector for the ministry presentation $500-$700
o Vonage phone service for a year – we can get two months of phone service free if we purchase a year at a cost of $270 (includes taxes and fees). If you are going to sign up for Vonage – give us your email address – if we “invite” you we can get a free month. Vonage allows us to call FREE to 60 countries and discounted to others – invaluable for our ministry!
o It’s that time of the year for annual server support. $576 for servers in 2011.
