The following is part an email I received regarding a domain that was "rescued" in June. The email came in yesterday.Bob Hoffman, I would first like to commend and thank you for your efforts to rescue domain names from those who would like to use them for ungodly purposes. I didn’t know anyone was doing this and to my shame had not even thought of doing it myself and I am even aware of the fact that expired church domains are targeted by some very ungodly groups. Again, thank you for what you are doing. I am writing to you on behalf of ********* Baptist Church in **********, NC. Thank you for rescuing their domain. They are currently going through a pastoral transition and the interim pastor has asked me to research the steps necessary to regain control of the domain. They have had quite a bit of interest recently as a result of the website even with some of the information being incorrect. Your web presence is a powerful tool! Protect it! I spoke to this pastor and we are in the process of working out the details of turning the domain back over to the church and this contact. The pastor has asked us to send him information on the ministry. Please continue to pray for wisdom for us!BobPS – I am probably going to change the category of these articles from What About Bob? to something like "The deputation trail."
